The goal of these projects is to foster stronger student engagement and to provide increased and enhanced space to support student services and life on campus.” – Studentspace.uwaterloo.ca A referendum was held in Fall 2009 where 18.059 per cent of 24,979 eligible voters cast ballots: 1,819 (7.282 per cent of students) voted in favour of the proposal; 2,546 (10.193 per cent of students) voted against the proposal; and 146 declined their ballots.
